The Weepies are a pop-folk band fronted by singer-songwriters Deb Talan and Steve Tannen. The two musicians, who were both active in separate singer-songwriter careers, met in 2001 at a show Tannen was playing at Club Passim in Cambridge, MA. They quickly found a deep musical bond and began playing together. In 2005, they were signed to Nettwerk Records. Currently, Tannen and Talan reside together in Topanga, California.
Their song "World Spins Madly On" was featured on the hit television show, Grey's Anatomy, as well as appearing in an episode of Scrubs. 【From last.fm】
